Our Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program provides an integrative and structured rehabilitation program for persons recovering from orthopedic illnesses and injuries, such as major multiple orthopedic trauma, hip fracture surgery, hip or knee joint replacements and arthritis, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, polymyositis and lupus.
A highly skilled group of professionals plans each patient’s care under the direction of your physician or surgeon. For those undergoing elective joint replacement surgery, pre-operative assessments identify and address modifications to the home environment, as well as post- operative assistive equipment needs.
Therapies and activities are specifically designed to improve patients’ functional skills, strength, endurance and mobility.
Care is coordinated by our medical and administrative staff who help the patient and his/her family understand the recovery process and consider the options as the patient progresses from inpatient care to home health care, outpatient rehabilitation and/or community services.
Our clinical staff works together as an interdisciplinary team to design a unique rehabilitation program for each patient. The team helps patients attain their highest level of functioning and independence.
